Hand to cad and solidworks

1. our use of solidworks

If you’re a regular reader of our blog, you already know that the engineering team at HandtoCAD Services is a huge SolidWorks fan. Did you know that SOLIDWORKS 2022 is the software product’s 26th annual release? IT provides CAD (MCAD, ECAD), simulation, data management, and collaboration tools that we use on a daily basis to deliver finished products to our clients and customers. We appreciate SolidWorks’ responsiveness to user feedback. In fact, according to them, ninety percent of their software enhancements are a result of user feedback like ours. Many thanks, SolidWorks! With over 250 new features and enhancements in CAD alone and a total of 520 new enhancements across all products, SolidWorks keeps even seasoned users, such as our engineers, pleasantly surprised by the enhancements to daily productivity. excellent for improving our response times to clients! The core CAD enhancements, such as variable chamfer, super features that convert chamfer to a fillet for flexible modeling, advanced holes, enhancements to import mesh files, wrap feature, offset surface, and improved placement of components during mating, are particularly appreciated. While we haven’t quite seen 5X performance compared to SolidWorks 2016, it’s close (and we’re still getting used to the new tools, so expect that to improve). Magnetic mates with speedpack enhancements make it easy to manage large modular assemblies, which is something we do frequently in the aerospace industry. Our SolidWorks programs Our company has steadily moved into more 3D work and less 2D work in recent years (although, to be absolutely accurate, we still get our fair share of 2D requests). In our digital world, 3D data has many applications, and 3D models provide significantly more information than 2D drawings.

Among the applications for which we employ SolidWorks: Reengineering/Design Analysis/Inspection Visualization/Animation of Replication/Reproduction

Occasionally, we combine these 3D CAD programs with 3D scanning. By scanning a physical object or component, you obtain both the original “real” object and a virtual model that can be utilized for archiving, redesign, retrofitting, and other purposes. Many industries today favor 3D data archiving for components, products, and designs.

Among the industries we serve are: aerospace/defense, facilities management, industrial design, manufacturing, architecture/construction,

HandtoCAD and SolidWorks 2020 enter the New Year committed to working with existing and new customers to scan, convert, and/or model their components, products, and designs. By utilizing SolidWorks, we assist businesses by: Add innovative technologies to your designs Gain greater design insights that result in ground-breaking products.
